Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
Job Summary
Overall responsibility for the department in monitoring and maintaining a retail and bulk fuel facility IAW all contractual requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Prepares and reviews receipt and usage calculations for tank capacities, ensures service times and required levels of fuels are maintained and the appropriate forms completed.
Prepares and reviews receiving and issuing documents.
Prepares, reviews, and submits reports.
Reviews inspection samples of fuel, checks gravity and flashpoint, and water content sampling.
Reviews information on water in tanks, temperature, and fuel levels.
Ensures completion of all reports that show preventive maintenance and repairs on all fuel systems have been performed to include calibrations of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.
Overall responsibility for ensuring HSE standards are maintained, including environmental responsibilities, and that proper safety training has been conducted and reviewed on a regular basis.
Responsible for management of department personnel and work schedules.
Responsible for all disciplinary actions and performance appraisals.
Responsible for the day to day over site of the fuel operations which include: Retail Fuel and Bulk Fuel Operations.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must have extensive experience and knowledge of military fuel operations and equipment.
M969/M970 Fuel Tankers, M978 HEMTT, and 350 GPM pump. •Must be able to provide a strong level of quality customer services.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds for short distances as required.
Must have previous experience in and be able to manage and supervise a fully operational work force and work independently as required.
Familiar with military tactical fuel distribution systems and fuels accountability paperwork.
Competent in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Must have fluent English speaking and writing skills.
Must have effective problem solving skills and be a team player.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Undergraduate degree in related field with 8-10 years’ experience or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Previous supervisory experience required.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license with 6 months of remaining validity
Must be able to get a NAC-I
Must have CDL with HAZMAT Endorsement
Must be able to get a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Knowledge of Bulk, Retail and FARP Operations is preferred
