You will be based in our growing hub in Mexico City and will have responsibility for both regional programs in LATAM and global programmatic initiatives. This will be a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and in-office (Mexico City) work, subject to local legal requirements. You will report directly to the Associate General Counsel, VP, Compliance (Global Head of Integrity, Governance, Risk and Compliance) in the Legal, Governance, Risk, & Compliance team.
What youll be doing
Helping the business to win while doing the right thing with ease and peace of mind.Keeping us informed on the latest anti corruption, trade compliance, and public procurement laws, regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends.Facilitating risk management and ethical decision making, by providing advice and compliance coaching to regional teams and leaders.Leveraging the strengths of our colleagues and partners to co-create new and effective and sustainable solutions to compliance issues.Building and implementing communication, awareness, training, and enablement strategies to bring our Code of Conduct and policies to life for regional employees and partners.Seeking continuous learning and improvement by assessing and enhancing policies, procedures, and controls throughout the business, including for partner programs.Managing sensitive information, including whistleblower reports, conducting investigations and using investigation metrics to identify trends and areas of compliance risk and create action plans to mitigate the risk.Designing and conducting global, regional, functional, and targeted risk assessments.Collaborating across all lines of business and functions, including regional sales and product development teams and other stakeholders to execute on programmatic initiatives and/or remedial measures, and to ensure such measures are promptly implemented.Assisting in the selection, design and implementation of tools, data analytics, and metrics to support our integrity, governance, risk, and compliance initiatives.
What you bring to the role
Basic Qualifications:
A passion for facilitating ethical decision-making and driving impact at scaleCourage and the ability to do hard things well with a human centered, inclusive, people first approach.Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English, written and spoken.At least 3 years of relevant compliance and ethics experience ideally in-house at a global company, or at a law firm or regulatory body.A smart and curious lawyer with a license to practice law and experience in global regulatory and legal compliance matters.Exceptional analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.Ability to travel across the region and globally as needed.Expertise in designing, developing, and delivering training and strategic communications.Aptitude to engage and collaborate effectively with individuals and cross-functional teams located across multiple geographies and cultures.Excellent judgment and capacity to make decisions that demonstrate an unwavering commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with global customer facing sales teams in the tech industry.Fluent Portuguese, written and spoken. Other languages will be an asset.Demonstrated ability to adopt relevant technologies and tools to implement best practices in process integrity, intelligence gathering, automation, data integrity, analysis, and reporting.
