Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: References prints and work instructions to determine the appropriate materials, resources, and proper pre-programmed part file to be used to laser cut tubing to print and job specifications. Set up and adjust laser to accept tube size and shape for auto feed and prepare for unload of parts and the scrap/drop pieces. Monitors, measures, and records work pieces per documented procedures by testing / inspecting product using a variety of metrologies including, but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, romer, inspection pins to ensure accuracy of machine operation and conformance to Quality standards. Perform daily and weekly Preventative Maintenance and complete maintenance records. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists in solving work problems Demonstrate consistent commitment to quality and possess exceptional attention to detail Demonstrates familiarity and consistently complies with ISO 9001 standards and practices. Maintains clean and efficient workspace. While laser is running production, operator may be expected to run concurrent fabrication jobs. May assist in training additional machine operators. COMPETENCIES: Strong mechanical skills, math skills (such as geometry and trigonometry), and computer abilities necessary Must be able to interpret and work from prints, work orders, specifications and verbal direction MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School education or equivalent 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Good verbal and written communication skills Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills.
