Overview:
The Landscape Technician must possess the knowledge and experience to enable them to organize and run the daily operations of the Landscape department. The Technician must be able to schedule daily duties, coordinate between departments, procure material, and supervise Landscaping projects. This must be achieved through sound horticultural practices.
Salary Details: $20.65/hr. - $25.56/hr. based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate crews in response to construction activities and special projects.
Ornamentally prune trees.
Schedule daily duties of gardeners as needed.
Train new and existing employees on professional landscape practices.
Program irrigation controllers as per plant palate requirements.
Creatively design landscapes for new and existing locations.
Procure all plant material and related supplies.
All other gardener duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED required.
Vocational / technical training in Horticulture/ Landscaping preferred.
At least 1-3 years of prior experience.
Must have knowledge of plant identification and professional horticultural practices. Knowledge and experience to program irrigation controllers and proper irrigation practices. Must be able to read blueprints.
Valid Driver's License.
Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
