Labour Relations Leader - India ABO
Description
Leads the company's labor relations strategy and processes. Directs contract negotiation and administration, employee relations, and training in the support of an organization's labor relations programs for a region or group of regions. Directs the contract negotiations preparation process and negotiations. Maintains a strong business partnership with the labor organization and company representatives.
Directs the administration and implementation of the organization's labor relations programs, policies and procedures; coaches others through problems and conflicts; provides coaching to managers and teams through the contract process.
Acts as an escalation point for difficult conflicts and labor contract interpretation.
Directs the investigation of unfair labor practices and other labor relations issues; ensures the implementation of recommended changes in policies and practices.
Manages the collective bargaining negotiation preparation process including terms and cost analysis; participates in the collective bargaining process.
Reviews disciplinary actions, grievances and arbitration.
Maintains an understanding of local and country specific employment legislation matters for the regions in which they are responsible; understands where to find information sources on this topic and how to apply the information; coaches management on the latest employment legislation matters.
Partners with key business leaders on labor topics and legislation; reviews and contributes to business strategies and initiatives such as safety, security, and productivity to act as a resource for management and line human resources regarding labor relations.
Maintains a business partnership with both the labor organization and company representatives; anticipates labor issues and plans for solutions.
Develops and manages the labor relations annual operating plan.
Coaches and mentors direct reports; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.
Experience
Significant level of relevant work experience, including leadership and budgetary experience, required.
This role will have a dotted line reporting relationship to the India ABO HR Leader and will be a member of the India ABO HR Leadership team.
ABO responsibilities include oversight of the Employee Relations environment at the Megasite as well as Leadership of the Non-Exempt Workforce strategy roadmap for the ABO.
