This job opportunity is a temporary, seasonal, full-time position.Eleven (11) Landscape Laborer positions available. Work will begin April1, 2024 through November 29, 2024. It requires applicants be ready,willing and able to perform work duties the entirety of employment atall designated worksites and the ability to follow workplace rules. Itis an entry level position, no experience required and employee willwork under close supervision. On the job training will be provided. Jobduties include mowing, edge, trim, blow, plant, water, dig, rake, weedflower beds, use common horticultural products, hauling and installingthings such as mulch, soil, or plants. Pruning shrubs and small trees,picking up and disposing of litter and plant debris. Placement oflandscape fabrics and commonly used landscape materials for landscapeinstallations and may perform any other related landscape laboreractivity as per SOC/OES 37-3011. Employee will also maintain propertiesusing, maneuvering, and operating hand and power tools, mowingequipment, and vehicles and may assist in routine maintenance andcleaning of equipment used each day as well as cleaning out vehicles andequipment storage spaces.
Board, lodging, living quarters: For those employees who do not residein a normal commuting distance, on an optional basis, the employer willassist in securing housing or living quarters. All housing options willbe shown to said employee, employee will be responsible to choose theoption that is most economically suitable for them. The payment will bepaid directly to the landlord.
Initial transportation and subsistence: If the worker completes 50% ofthe work contract period, employer will be consistent with applicableregulatory requirements, arrange and pay directly for transportation andsubsistence to the place of employment. Daily subsistence will beprovided at the rate required at the time of travel which is currently\$15.56 per day to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts.
Return Transportation and Subsistence: Workers will be provided with orreimbursed for outbound transportation and subsistence consistent withapplicable regulatory requirements if the employee completes the periodof employment or is dismissed from employment before the end of theperiod of employment. If transportation is provided, it will be bycommon carrier land or air conveyance at the option of the employer.Employer will pay for worker\'s reasonable cost of return transportationto the place the worker originally came from. Daily subsistence will beprovided at the rate required at the time of travel.
Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4 of theworkdays in each 12 week period of the total employment period.
Reimbursement to H-2B worker of visa and other related fees: H-2Bworkers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visaprocessing, border crossing, and other related fees, including thosemandated by the government.
Round trip transportation from business address to the job sites dailywill be provided at no cost to the worker.
The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit, alltools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
This job order, including its wages and working terms and conditions arecontingent upon prevailing legal interpretations of Federal H-2Bimmigration and FLSA employment law, including Department of Labor andDepartment of Homeland Security regulations. If any such prevailing lawis rescinded, superseded, vacated, or substantially modified, then anyaffected portion of this job order will be similarly modified.
