Job Description:
Are you skilled at operating heavy machinery and looking for a dynamic role in the construction and utilities sector? We are seeking a dedicated individual who excels in a variety of tasks including operating, driving, trenching, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a team player capable of making quick, sound decisions to protect project interests and financial stability. Timeliness, care for equipment, and excellent customer service are key components of this role.
As part of our expectations, you will adhere to all government policies and procedures, act as a role model with a positive attitude, manage your workload effectively, and maintain productive customer relations. Your responsibilities will include operating and maintaining equipment, understanding blueprints, and building projects with precision. You will also be expected to consistently meet productivity and quality standards, stay informed on DOT regulations, and ensure a safe working environment.
Hard Skills:
Basic computer literacy.
Knowledge of grade staking and operation of laser equipment.
Understanding of soil classifications related to the job.
Capability to install mainline and service pipe.
Safe digging practices around utilities.
3 years minimum recent experience in utility work.

Work Environment:
This role routinely requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions with moderate noise levels. There may be occasional requirements to lift up to 100 pounds. The position includes diverse tasks and the possibility of being assigned additional job-related duties.
Note: This is an "As Needed Basis" position with no guarantee of 40 hour weeks.
Physical Demands:
Regular sitting, talking, and hearing. Frequent use of hands and reaching with arms. Occasional lifting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing required. Close vision and focus adjustment are necessary.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must possess a valid CO driver's license. Willingness to learn operation of all types of equipment and perform maintenance tasks is essential.
