Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption. Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

We are currently seeking Lab Technologist III with experience in Point of Care Testing Services.
You will:
Perform technical duties for point of care testing as assigned.Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files/databases.Performs routine and advanced equipment maintenance.Create neat, accurate, well-formatted documents.Maintain compliance with lab safety practices and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area.Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures.Monitor the physical environment of the point-of-care testing areas in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulationsProvide direction, training, and feedback on point-of-care testing procedures, as assigned.Train other technologists and point-of-care device users as needed.Oversee activities of Point of Care testing and perform special assignments, as directed.Monitor and review Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Safety and Inspection Control practices to assure compliance with internal and external regulations.Ensure smooth workflow and demonstrate decision-making abilities in all aspects of performance in support of the Department.You have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Lab Sciences or Medical Technology required.6+ years of clinical laboratory experience (4+ years required with a relevant Masters) requiredA current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License requiredASCP preferredHours:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, rotating weekendsDay shift
