Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption. Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

It’s a very exciting time for our Department as many of our teams have recently moved into our new pioneering laboratory medicine facility on East 64th Street! Our new Laboratory Medicine Building improves operational efficiency, allowing our Laboratory Medicine team to provide test results more quickly and reduce the amount of blood needed from a patient to generate those results. The Main Hospital Rapid Results Lab (MHRRL) is seeking an experienced Part-Time Laboratory Technologist II to join their team. We have invested in groundbreaking technology in this lab and have a strong focus upon molecular sequencing.
You will:
Perform technical duties in all laboratory sections, with minimal direction, as assigned.Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files.Prepare results for analysis and enter test results into the computer, with minimal direction.Build neat, accurate, well-formatted documents.Contribute to upkeep and safety to assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area.Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures.Perform daily equipment maintenanceManage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulationsMonitor Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Safety and Inspection Control practices to assure compliance with internal and external regulations.You have:
A current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License A Bachelors degree (Masters or greater preferred).2+ years of clinical laboratory experience, preferably in hematology and/or chemistryHours:
Part-Time: Every Saturday/Sunday, 12 AM - 8 AM Part-Time: Every Saturday/Sunday, 8 AM - 4 PM
