2+ years experience in software automation or related areas Strong practical knowledge of Python, Swift, or shell scripting is preferred Familiar with Ansible or Puppet Familiar with GIT or SVN Familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins or travis The ability to setup and maintain hardware in a lab Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, be able to describe and document clearly Ability to handle and lead tasks with varying priorities Ability to work with other teams and groups Experience in popular Database management software, e.g. SQL is a bonus Experience with tools like Xcode and CMake are a bonus

Description
As a Lab Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining apple hardware to be used in continuous integration, test automation, and algorithm evaluation. Being familiar with Ansible and scripting languages, such as python or shell, will help you maintain a large fleet of devices and triage hardware issues. In addition, you will also be responsible for lab design and policy, ensuring that our hardware infrastructure is operating at peak efficiency. You will also coordinate with and support cross functional teams that are using our infrastructure to ensure high standard and quality of their projects. This is an on-site role.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $55.00 and $83.02/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
