As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Asian Regulatory Specialist. Supporting our Global Market Access (GMA) team, the role is ideal for a self-starter and energetic professional with the drive and ability to grow and maintain our knowledge of Asian Chemical, Sustainability and Environmental regulations.
Although the role is based at our Shanghai office, this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in successfully implementing our Sustainability and Environmental strategy Internationally, supporting our prestigious Customers to access global markets.
As a UL GMA Knowledge/Regulatory Specialist, you will:
Undertake research for information collection, including reviews of scientific and electronic literature
Lead and contributing to the preparation of written outputs of high quality and technical accuracy
Gain and maintain detailed knowledge of key regulations and standards related to chemical, environment and sustainability
Act as regional key expert contact for compliance requirements required to access the Asia markets and countries
Coordinate the development of contacts and relationships with the appropriate regulatory and standardization authorities
Work with global GMA leads and regional teams to develop and implement market access services
Provide point-of-access support to address any local acceptance issues
Coordinate the tracking regulatory trends and communicate upcoming regulatory changes that impact AHL, CMIT, EIA industries
Lead impact analysis of regulatory changes for applicable products and services
Keep GMA knowledge tools and information up to date including news and impact by product type
Support training and service/program implementation activities
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Conformity Assessment or Regulatory field
Knowledge of Chemical management regulations, Drinking water and Food Contact regulations, ESG regulations, and other Sustainability and Environmental regulations applicable to electrical and electronic devices.
Strong written and verbal English language communication skills, additional language can be a plus
Able to build rapport and communicate effectively with Clients and UL colleagues
