ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for opening opportunities with Automotive OEMs, Tier 1s, Automotive Silicon providers and other Automotive partners and suppliers in China Market. Additionally, this position shall include coordination with Wind River Leadership, Delivery, Product Management, Sales and Marketing personnel to identify current and future business opportunities within the Automotive Electronics markets, and as directed, conduct and facilitate customer engagements on behalf of Wind River.
Interface & Collaboration
Report to the Senior Manager of Regional Sales, Auto Vertical.
You will collaborate with other functional teams including FAE, Service, Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, etc.
Responsibilities
Act as a Sales of several selected Auto customers including OEMs, Tier1s and achieve assigned quota. Leverage other teams including FAEs, Service and high management to drive a large or strategic deals. Explore new business in existing or new logo customers in East China territory. Provide market inputs back into the Auto team to help drive the evolution of Automotive services and products. Support the development of go to market content about Automotive products and services, markets, and competition, including sales tools, sales training, competitive analysis, collateral, demos, technical marketing labs, product reviews, PR and AR content and ongoing sales and channel support.
ABOUT YOU
Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success
The successful candidate will be an Automotive industry veteran, with an intuitive understanding of sector dynamics and a broad set of relevant customer and partner relationships.
This leader will have a track record of developing and implementing strategies that significantly grew or transformed an Automotive software business. S/he must have significant career experience in Automotive Electronics including embedded software and/or RTOS. Most importantly, this individual will have an intuitive understanding of the Automotive market, the key players, regulatory influence, ecosystems (e.g. major embedded software vendors, board vendors and other contributors) combined with a profound knowledge of the value chains, business models and technical reference solutions employed in this market.
Qualifications
5+ years of Automotive Electronics Sales, Marketing, Strategy or Business Development experience with a focus on software and services. Millions of Dollars selling experience a plus. In-depth Knowledge of the Electric Vehicle and Software Market, preferably in the Under the Hood (UTH), ADAS, Cockpit or telematics sub-markets. Active network connections with leading Automotive Tier 1 and OEM companies, and consortia e.g. AutoSAR and COVESA. Financial modeling and business case development and analysis experience. Customer interfacing experience at the C-level for both business development as well as information gathering. Fundamental knowledge of embedded computing, operating systems and development tools. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to move easily between product, services, marketing, strategy and technical discussions. Excellent influence management skills and the ability to establish strong, collaborative working relationships with a multitude of stakeholders. Good spoken and written English. BSEE/CS or equivalent required, MBA a plus. 50-70% Travel required.
