Role Summary
The Key Account Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for dedicated customer subjects in terms of Sales and relationship matters for the dedicated product group. The Key Account Manager coordinates Sales activities throughout the organization and is responsible for price structure, communicating customer needs and coordination of strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for quoting and negotiating potential new business
Responsible for quoting and negotiating potential major changes in existing business
Supports plant sales with day to day commercial activities at the customer by assuring price strategy and terms of payments are kept and if needed supporting the negotiation process
Responsible for planning new business in the Sales Database
Responsible for reporting the Sales activities to the Group Office per Group Office requirements (i.e. bi-weekly sales reports, givebacks, commercial issues, etc.)
Assures that other disciplines such as Quality, Program Management and other customer interacting disciplines interact with the customer per Magna Strategy and Policy
Supports to develops, plan and execute the Sales Strategy
Supports Management in key business-decision-making
Supports Portfolio Strategy and Product/Platform
Supports Market Intelligence Activities with Marketing
Supports other regions in doing business with the KAM’s dedicated customer
Ensures the Sales activities are in compliance with the company’s policies and national / local regulations
Performs other duties as required
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum completion of a University of Applied Sciences degree in engineering, or business administration orrelated areas
Advanced (2-5 years of experience): Experience gained in the automotive sector or similar industry in a similar function directly dealing with OEMs
Strong commercial and technical background required
Deep understanding of markets, technology and key trends
