Provincial Manager, Man/Sask
Context and Scope:

The role of Provincial Manager, Man/Sask will lead retail business performance, building short- and long-term partnership between the MBLL, SLGA, Private Retailer and Diageo, supporting our mutual growth aspirations. They Provincial Manager will report into the West Sales Director, work alongside the Broker’s sales team who owns the field execution in retail.
Purpose of Role:
To lead the development, execution of the market and customer strategy, delivering short- and long-term sustainable growth that meets our joint aspirations.
Key Outputs and Results:
Make the plan and beat the competition
Responsible for promotional calendars with the MBLL, SLGA and Private Retailers.Will monitor business performance on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and course correct to ensure that we are able meet or exceed our goals.Outpace the spirits industry in share growth.
Enable Diageo to be the partner of choice for the with the Manitoba & Saskatchewan customers.
Develop the joint business plan demonstrating the multi-functional teams in collaboration with the MBLL, SLGA & Private Retailers.Leverage customer marketing, marketing, finance, and supply chain to bring breakthrough ideas for our customers.Work across Diageo North America and Global Customer Marketing to access breakthrough thinking and great ideas for our customer.
Develop and Implement Retail Promotional Strategy
Collaborate with internal support functions to develop and implement the promotional plan with the MBLL, SLGA & Private Retailers.
Lead the Customer Agenda:
Maintain high levels of team engagement and a culture that encompasses Diageo Values.Educate and inspire the total organization to build understanding of the Manitoba/Saskatchewan Markets and how we can best partner with them.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
An experienced Sales/Business Leader with a strong track record of delivering results over time.Broad Sales and Commercial capability ideally with depth in Field Sales, Key Account Management and Customer Marketing.Has deep understanding of how brands and categories are built.Previous experience of working with sophisticated retail customers with a track record of building strong relationships partnering to deliver business growth.Strong Sales and Commercial strategy skills.Highly skilled in complex negotiations and conflict resolution.Very strong financial capability (can understand a complex P&L in depth).Knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry and experience in a liquor-controlled environment is a distinct advantage.
