What you will be doing
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This individual will work with our Clients to understand the Clients' business requirements and is responsible for ensuring client requirements are defined and documented as 'In Scope'.
• Owns the creation of an implementation project plan to identify key milestones & deliverables regarding criticality, downstream impact if dates are missed and determine alternative/mitigating actions.
• Responsible for achieving deliverables on-time and in-budget.
• Monitors project deliverables and escalates when required to mitigate risks
• Provides timely, concise communications to functional and executive leadership regarding project status and pending issues.
• Identifies issues and potential risks within projects and accounts post launch; proactively manages them to resolution and/or mitigation with the assistance of the Process and Technical Leads.
• Will act as the Program Lead in the development and ownership of the process design, and implementation plan in accordance with the Client requirements.
• Facilitates activities across internal and external teams to ensure the program deliverables are on track and understood.
• Provides input in the preparation of capital expenditure (CER's) for projects
• Responsible for program deliverables according to assignments including but not limited to construction/installation, inspection, testing, training, and roll-out.
• Key interface between all Canadian functional business areas - Client Financial Services, Customer Service, Distribution Centers, IT and other business units. Develop seamless communication flow between these areas.
• Build solid and positive working relationships with identified clients.
• Lead and cultivate existing relationships across accounts.
• Responsible for developing new and strategic relationships within accounts.
• Responsible for the identification of new business opportunities within each identified Client account.
• Compiles information, analyzes, and develops strategies concerning dynamics that may affect area of responsibility, such as changes in customer ownership, new affiliations, current market share and targets of opportunities for new growth, customers' changing requirements, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and continually communicates these strategies internally using updates to written business plans and ongoing business communication.
• Support the coordination of the proposal process, development of responses to RFPs by acting as a SME.
• Serve as "business owner" for assigned manufacturer programs - both internally and externally.
• Work with assigned manufacturer business partners to ensure commercialization objectives are achieved.
• Continuously monitor, assess, and identify strategies to improve program.
• Responsible for both document and process change management, as required by manufacturer client.
• Create Client Manual to document specific requirements for manufacturer-sponsored program.
• Monitor day-to-day program processes and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and deliver Client presentations as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Requires a minimum of (5) five years progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology and/or 3PL
• Requires a minimum of (3) three years' experience in relationship management.
• Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, sales or similar vocation generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management methodology training and hours an asset.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry
• Strong Project Management Skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, workload, timelines, and scope while operating in a cross-functional environment
• Technical expertise in project management support tools like MS Project, Visio, MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of EDI, Billing, IDS, and ERP applications
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Has acquired subject matter expertise (SME) and understanding of business principles, processes relative to technology solutions, and capabilities
• Ability to organize, plan, and implement projects of various size and scope
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to influence decisions
• Ability to lead and direct associates
• Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
