Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a candidate to join our Engineering team in Niceville, FL and Eglin AFB, where you will support the Joint Technical Coordinating Group for Munitions Effectiveness (JTCG/ME), its Integrated Product Teams (IPT), JTCG/ME Capabilities & Standardization (C&S) IPT, and the C&S Working Groups through data validation and integration into products such as the Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manual (JMEM) Weaponeering Software (JWS). JMEM products are used to authenticate weapons effectiveness data for use in operations, training, systems acquisitions, weapons procurement, and combat modeling and simulation. As a member of our diverse multidisciplinary team, the JWS Engineer position holds the responsibility to provide engineering support including data validation, development, version control, deployment, and maintenance of weapon and target data for current and future JWS implementation. You will be responsible for planning and conducting independent research and evaluating the integration of lethality models. In addition, a JWS Engineer should have an understanding of methodology development, modeling, and simulation, and creating and editing methodologies within JWS.

*JWS Engineer Job Duties Include: *
Conducting analyses of new and existing data on JTCG/ME products
Comparing new data in development with similar, existing JWS data
Performing data validation, testing, and integration of weapon effectiveness and target vulnerability data
Troubleshooting and analyzing weapons effects and target vulnerability data trends in JWS
Responding to data requests
Supporting other team members’ tasks
Coordinating between remotely located analysts.
Producing and presenting briefings on analyses results and support status
Modeling weapons performance and effects related to weaponeering
JWS Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in physics, Math, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
2-4 years of related experience.
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance; selected applicant will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements at the time of employment.
JWS Engineer Required Skills:
Understand object-oriented programming and software development practices.
Navigate, modify, and query databases in programs such as Microsoft Access and SQLite Maestro
Ability to work well independently and with a team.
Capability to quickly pivot and adapt to change.
Ability to interface with Government personnel and JTCG/ME intra-organizational staff and Operational users.
