The Junior Civil Design Engineer Highway, Rochester, New York will offer a new engineer the opportunity to be involved with exciting projects and to grow proficient with developing and advancing designs, preparing plans, cost estimating, and permitting infrastructure projects that improve the communities in which we live, work and play.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with supervisory staff and peers
Produce design computations under the guidance of senior level staff
Assist technicians in developing design drawings using CAD software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Assist in developing construction cost estimates
Field work including design reconnaissance, site visits, and construction observation
Responsible for completing quality work in a timely manner and following precepts of Erdman Anthony Civil design standards and business management manual
Requirements:
BS in Civil Engineering or related field
0-2 years of applicable technical experience
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or InRoads
Proficient with Microsoft Suite of tools
Excellent written and verbal communications
Attention to details
EIT Certification a plus
