We are searching for a talented software engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. We are looking for an experienced developer to work with a diverse team of software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to explore and develop solutions in support of AFRL, NASIC, DARPA and other Department of Defense and Intelligence Community projects. The candidate will be expected to develop and integrate Cyber & EW software solutions into existing AFSIM Modeling & Simulation framework, using modern Agile software development practices. The candidate will need to develop and expand Cyber, Electronic Support, Electronic Attack, Electronic Protection into AFSIM. We are focused on finding innovative, self-starters who can adapt to a fast-paced, high-profile development effort.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Strong communication and organizational skills
US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Required Experience:
1 or more years of Cyber & EW modeling, development, or analysis experience
Minimum of 1 years software development experience
Minimum of 1 years C++, C#, Python, or Java development
Desired Qualifications
1 or more years of Cyber & EW modeling, development, or analysis experience
Experience working with modeling and simulation tools, such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE
Experience following agile development processes
Experience using source control and CI/CD tools such as git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, Gitlab runners or similar
Experience developing software for Linux platforms
Experience with virtual machine and container management platforms such as WSL2 and Docker
Experience applying object-oriented design patterns within software applications
Familiarity with DoD security practices
