In a leading service vendor provider to the financial/brokerage industry and reporting to the Director, Product Management. The Jr. Analyst Intern, Product Management will act as liaison between the business units and the IT specialists. The role is responsible to help clients build sound business cases for technology solutions, transform concepts into detailed business requirements, ensure the functional specifications, capture the essence of the solution, develop test scenarios, and document business procedures. They will also help with creating internal training documentations and user guides.

Key Job Functions/ResponsibilitiesMeet with external users to identify business problems and requirements of new softwareInterview internal stakeholders (and possibly third parties such as CDS, TSX, vendors, etc.) to obtain further insight into business problemsAnalyze conflicting requirements from different users, prioritize them, and develop detailed functional requirement documentsCollaborate with the development team on the initiatives provided to you and lead the development priorities for your defined product areasDocument and present the results of the above processes in a form that is meaningful to customers and the development teamAs the product owner, monitor the SDLC progress to ensure smooth implementation from start to finishUnit test all new system changes initiated by the development teamReview the finished product with customers and confirm that all business requirements have been metParticipate in production support and smoke testsProvide problem solving for client reported issues with the applicationMaintain and create documentations on ConfluenceBasic Skill Level Requirements
Education:Currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year Computer Science, Business Administration or related University Degree or College Diploma programTraining in system integration life cycle methodologies is an assetBusiness Skills/Tools:Design Skills, data modeling, process modeling, knowledge of wireframes and prototypingProficiency in MS Office suite of applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and VisioKnowledge of SQL, Java, Javascript and/or OpenEdge ABL (PROGRESS) would be beneficialTesting, development of functional business test cases, and building test plansFinance/brokerage experience and specifically, the securities industry, problem identification including business impact, business processes and procedures, cost/benefit analysisPersonal Skills: Analytical and interpersonal skills including building consensus, negotiation, and facilitationStrong communication skills: client interviewing, business writing, developing, and delivering presentationsRecruitment Process
