Purpose: DTI is seeking a seasoned Java Developer with mainframe experience. Role Description: This role involves developing and maintaining Java applications while integrating with mainframe systems, contributing to our ongoing IT modernization initiatives. It is ideal for a developer who excels in Java and understands the intricacies of mainframe systems, looking to contribute to innovative and transformative projects. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services. Integrate Java applications with mainframe systems using technologies like COBOL, JCL, and DB2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions. Contribute to the modernization of legacy mainframe applications, translating them into Java-based platforms. Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of Java applications. Qualifications: Proficiency in Java and mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2), strong understanding of software development life cycle, excellent problem-solving skills, experience with Agile methodologies are desired skills. Java certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer), and any relevant mainframe technology certifications are advantageous.
