Overview
As a Java Developer, you are expected to be hands on with software development, contribute towards good software design, and test developed software. You will also be engaged in peer code reviews, document design decisions, and components application programming interfaces (APIs). You will be participating in daily stand-up meetings, analyzing software defects, fixing the software defects in a timely manner, and working closely with the Functional Analysis and Quality Assurance teams. As/when required to, you are also expected to train other team members to bring them up to speed.

What You'll Do
End to end software development involving core Java, restful services and Spring Framework as a middle ware, Oracle Structured Query Language (SQL) Server as back-end database and React User Interface (UI) as front-end
Serve as an expert in core Java fundamentals with basic React/JavaScript development skills
Hands on contribution to Spring Framework/Spring Boot, Hibernate/ Java Persistence API (JPA), messaging services and restful web services
Ensuring that the team is working effectively and efficiently to meet the project's goals and deadlines, as well as adhering to industry best practices and standards
Skills You'll Need
Experience with restful web services (XML and JSON) and messaging middleware (IBM MQ and KAFKA streaming)
Good hands-on experience writing UI components with React framework and JavaScript/Typescript
Robust working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle), solid knowledge of UNIX/Linux including shell scripts
Good experience in test driven development or design (TDD)/ continuous integration/continuous deployment or development (CI/CD) Pipeline and Agile development (Junit, Git, Jenkins/TeamCity, Maven, and Gradle)
Good understanding of advanced Java design pattern, solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
