Roles and Responsibilities:
As a senior engineer, your primary responsibility will be to lead /participate in the creation of new products and enhancements to existing products from requirement to launch, working in cross cross-functional team. You are required to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, sustain, and document software changes for new products, enhancements, and defects.
Perform analysis, design, and implementation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, processes, and product/program requirements
Engage with global teams to effectively translate customer requirements to software requirements and identify potential solutions that are optimized to operate within constraints of the product
Troubleshoot a variety of complex software problems
Able to interface with internal and external stakeholders regarding software issues.
Contribute as part of teams put together to meet overall organization initiatives/objectives
Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
Have the ability and willingness to acquire an in-depth understanding of the domain and existing products (beyond software) and apply that knowledge to develop new products and deliver enhancements/ fixes for customer requirements.
Experience, Skills, and Educational Requirements:
Must have 7-10 years of hands-on individual contributor development role in Java with significant contribution in Spring Boot using OOD and functional programming principles, including design, coding, debugging, building, unit testing, and performance testing in an application software product in a product development environment. Must be currently in a hands-on role.
Must have designed and built significant parts of multiple complete RESTful web services comprising of controllers, services, model classes, routers, handlers, etc.
Must have significant experience in developing web front-ends for business applications that consume REST API using the Angular or comparable framework.
Must have written and reviewed design documents for modules or functionality using OOD concepts.
Must have developed unit tests and/or unit test frameworks.
Should have worked on code that persists objects to relational database. Should be knowledgeable in OR mapping concepts, SQL, and SQL performance.
Must have experience in working in Agile/Scrum methodology with tools like Jira, Jenkins, Confluence
Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills and technologies as needed.
Ability to meet objectives, goals and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Bachelor of engineering degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics/Electrical OR Master of Computer Application.
