Job Description
Insight Global is sourcing for a Java Backend Developer for the for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This individual will be a part of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services sector and will be responsible for developing and maintaining a variety of applications and interfaces that are in relation to the Health Safety Net policy. As the Java Developer, you will be responsible for supporting the policies business processes by documenting end to end processes, redesigning, solutioning and starting new development processes while the application is migrating to AWS Cloud. Most of the current processes are in Microsoft SQL database and the backend processes need to be updated and act as a modern system. You will be partnering with Application Architects and Release Managers to ensure the system sees through a seamless process.
This position is anticipated to be a long-term engagement and is currently a hybrid position with a 1 day per week in office requirement in Quincy MA when requested. Skills and Requirements
Available to commute to office in Quincy, MA 1 day per week
- 5+ years as a Java Backend Developer (J2EE), experience with .NET/C# as well
Frontend development experience (JavaScript, AngularJS, React)
- Prior experience leading a development process or design process
- Experience working on a project through the full SDLC
Design to development to testing, implementation and production support
- MS SQL server 2012-2019 experience
SSRS and SSIS and/or other ETL tools
- Previous experience using Oracle database
- Expertise working on a platform in AWS Cloud - Healthcare or Government/State Industry background experience
- Expertise with Tableau
- AngularJS experience null
