Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Qualifications:Basic cleaning knowledgeKnowledge of cleaning chemicalsManage time efficiently.Detailed oriented, self-starter, ability to be flexible.Ability to communicate and interact with program participants in the building.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure the building is clean on a daily basis.Vacuum all carpet areas as needed, including back staircases!Sweep and mop as needed (good clean once a week)Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, the upstairs Chapel, and all carpet areas.Dust upstairs and downstairsWipe down chairs and tables daily.Clean the conference room as needed.Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms, follow safe work practices including use of personal protective equipment.Take out trash daily.Wash windows and mirrorsKeep janitor closest organized.Other duties as assigned.Follow all safety policies and procedures.Follow and assist in preparing a janitorial checklist and procedures.Adhere to Salvation Army policies and procedures.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.Ability to grasp, push, pull, and lift to 50 lbs.Ability to use standard janitorial equipment - mops, vacuums, carpet cleaners,Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
