Position Specific Description
Functional Responsibilities Include:
• Solution architecture and design using latest cloud technologies to upgrade business unit portfolio supporting a multiyear company-wide program
• Have strong technical skills to be able to understand the technical aspects of dozens of systems and how they integrate
• Help architect, down to detailed designs, of a loosely coupled integration strategy support multiple patterns
• Demonstrated success implementing applications or analytics with complex operation data along with deep business process understanding
• Bring cohesive solutions while managing interacting with multiple teams/priorities while helping achieve group milestones
• Strong Agile skills to interact with Technical Leaders, Developers, Agile Leaders and Business Analysts on diverse teams
• Able to coach and motivate teams to employ best practices and reuse
• Strong executive-level communication for describing technical directions / goals / progress
• Able to be centered at Jupiter West location but visit teams / meetings (mostly in Palm Beach, but also Broward and Dade counties infrequently)
Technical Experience Preferred:
• Expert level architecting, designing, and implementing multiple integration technologies
• Deep success delivering diverse Enterprise class software development for n-tier platforms both cloud-based and on premise
• Role as key architect on enterprise-wide, multi-year program
• Leader in company developer communities and/or governance processes
• Proven and recognized technical expert covering multiple areas including commercial application delivery, high-volume transaction/event processing systems, DBMS (Relational and NoSQL), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), application development with traditional, mobile, and web technologies (Cloud and on premise)
• Commercial RDBMS such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, and AWS
• Commercial NoSQL such as Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra, and AWS
• Docker/microservices/Web Services, EAI, Cloud Computing, PaaS, and Analytics/ Reporting on Mobile devices (Windows, iOS & Android)
• LAMP stack – Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl/PHP/Python, other open source, and Statistical Platforms such as R, SAS
• Current understanding of the electric utility business direction, with an end-to-end view of business and technology
• Experience in enterprise agile methodology, especially SAFe©.

Leaders in this role provide leadership and oversight to manage performance and results in one or more Information Technology (IT) disciplines. Individuals will be accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provides leadership, influence, vision, and direction to the organization to contribute to achieving the company's goals
Works with IT leaders to develop overall IT strategy in alignment with business strategy
Oversees value stream by focusing on cost and risks of technology portfolio to meet business needs
Supports and fosters innovative technologies to deliver new ideas that enable business transformation
Ensures high levels of ongoing system and application performance in production environments
Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
Attracts, develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team
Establishes and drives technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs
Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives
Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
