Title:
IT System Admin
KBR is seeking a IT System Administrator to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN). The SCN provides highly reliable and secure data transfer, telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the administration of one or more of the following data systems: Computer systems hardware, operating systems, networks, software, & peripheral equipment such as servers, printers, and storage devices.
Maintains, installs, upgrades, and configures data systems, administers operating systems, and maintains basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
Generate/update documents related to their work.
Travel approximately 0% to 10%.
Basic Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
BS in computer information systems or other related technical field, with 2 years of experience Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
Experiences with Windows and Unix environments.
Experience with Orbital Analysis Suite (OAS).
Experience with Space Force Satellite Control Network (SCN).
Basic Compensation:
Salary Range: 75,000 – 90,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
