  Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

  We are looking for an IT Support Engineer - Intern for a 12-month contract to be based out of our Solihull office.

  As our Intern, you'll play a key role in deploying, administering, and supporting vendor and in-house applications and associated hardware. As well as maintaining necessary metrics and documentation, you will provide technical support for PCs and LAN network, consult with senior peers on more-complex projects (learning through experience) and operate under close to moderate supervision and guidance.

  You'll make an impact by:

  Guiding users through application and peripheral installations, offering support through clear step-by-step instructions, configuring end-user devices promptly for deployment, and managing user onboarding and offboarding processes.Progressing user tickets related to hardware, software, and networking through phone or face-to-face interactions. This position includes arranging and repairing equipment, collaborating with third parties when necessary.Providing technical support for desktops and applications on-site or remotely, assisting in the installation of new hardware and software applications, and contributing to the knowledge base.Ensuring device compliance, patching, and running supported operating systems are key components, and follow-up with customers ensures system functionality while escalating unresolved issues as needed.
