  The Sr. Director for Global Application Development is responsible for end-to-end ("E2E") solution delivery of Corporate Functions solutions across Stryker divisions, plants and geographies within the Finance, Human Resources ("HR") and Legal & Compliance portfolios and the corresponding set of applications. This role will lead the Corporate Functions function to drive solution delivery, demand estimation, deployment and cutover activities across cross-functional programs and proper alignment of all system integrations. The Sr. Director will drive the alignment of activities, processes and information flow between the program delivery team and the entire IT organization. He/she will partner and collaborate with executive leadership, GAD leaders, IT Service Delivery, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Program Management, Supplier Management and strategic partners to lead the execution of the agreed upon project portfolio and implementation of the IT vision and strategy. This is a highly influential role that will play a strategic part in aligning our global portfolio planning and execution activities across IT.

  Candidate is expected to demonstrate technical, functional breadth and program leadership skills to assist in defining solutions, leading, implementing and managing rollout of enterprise and multiple SaaS applications on prem and on cloud.

  The candidate will drive to ensure that all activities are completed to scheduled scope, quality, timelines, budgets and program deliverables. Will be deeply involved in elevating the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization's global program delivery capability. Provide hands-on leadership and supervision to program teams globally, support teams and IT suppliers. Be highly customer-focused, and provide input on best practices and industry benchmarks.

  Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)

  Responsible for the delivery of Finance, HR, and Legal & Compliance solutions for E2E strategic and operational business processes within the Corporate Functions organizations.Responsible for the design, build, test, deployment and hypercare activities for all products, applications and technologies assigned to the Finance, HR, and Legal & Compliance team.Responsible for planning & managing cutover and solution delivery deliverables along with SI's, business and PMs for approved projects within the Corporate Functions portfolio.Defines a deployment framework which can be leveraged across all Finance, HR, and Legal & Compliance programs and projects.Working with PMO, Delivery Leads, Process Leads, and Change management to develop standards, tools and systems to effectively and efficiently manage the deployment of the Finance, HR, and Legal & Compliance products across Stryker divisions, functions, and regions.Aligns on Technical Designs, Prototypes/Mock-ups, Development, Cutover, Testing and Delivery of solutions for Release Cycles and/or new projects within the Corporate Functions application stack.Collaborates on creating individual/custom deployment plans for each program across Stryker divisions, functions, and regions with detailed contingency plans and "Go/No Go" decision points.Coordinates and influences the deployment communication plans, including "Go Live" readiness, change management, cutover, and stabilization.Works with divisional deployment leads and IT teams to manage and prepare each division for solution readiness, data cleansing, data migration and training.Manages and coordinates with external suppliers and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted deliverables, agreed upon timelines, and metrics.Establishes deployment metrics and ensures each division, function, and region are measuring pre and post "Go Live" success metrics.Works closely with IT Service Delivery teams to ensure implementation of post-production support model and processes.Perform activities following Stryker's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes.Manages resolution and communication of system production support issues with different stakeholders based on Stryker SLA's.Works closely with strategic solution partners, business process owners, architects/leads from other tracks and super users to close out every phase as part of deployment playbook or project methodology.Provide guidance and mentoring to other Directors, Solution Managers, Solution Leads and Solution Analysts within the team or same project/program.Identify opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance and technical efficiencies.Develop and build robust integration with Infrastructure, Security, Governance, Service Delivery, etc.Financial focus on delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables.Special projects/assignments as required

  Education & special trainings:

  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Technical Field or Equivalent Experience Required

  Qualifications & experience:

  Minimum of 15 of professional experience delivering global programs including Corporate Function areas - Finance, HR, and Legal & Compliance space.10+ years of experience building, managing and engaging high performing global team in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.Experience in owning and building Finance, HR, and Legal & Compliance applications and products.Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of Corporate Functions or other complex business solutions.Experience and demonstrated proficiency of global system rollouts - strategy, planning, supplier selection, implementation planning, rollout and post production support during hypercare/warranty.Extensive knowledge of medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IT requirements.Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications.Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control is required.Ability to maintain strong relationships within Stryker Divisions and geographies.Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications.Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.Versatility and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.Experienced in enterprise solution methodologies, preferably in both traditional waterfall and agile approaches preferred.International experience and/or exposure working in other business functions preferred.Knowledge of Lean, ITIL, PPM, PMO, etc. standards and processes preferred.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management.Must be able to generate, explain, and present detailed schedules, objectives, reports, and other documentation accurately.Demonstrated ability to work cohesively across a cross functional and matrixed organization.Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.Ability to drive initiatives and projects independently from start to finish.Strong knowledge of Excel Advanced, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Access DB, MS Project Suite (MPP/Visio/etc.).Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills to a diverse set of audiences.

Ability to understand, interpret and translate emerging trends, future visions and strategies into executable programs and projects that align to the current state architecture and business environment. The incumbent will be results oriented, able to design and deliver rapid solutions for the team.Demonstrate ability to work in and deal with ambiguous situation.Driven and results oriented. He/she will be required to drive results and integrate effectively into the culture. The successful candidate must possess the blend of confidence and humility while driving to achieve results and meeting committed timelines.Strong collaboration skills are required. The successful candidate must have the ability to persuade and build consensus cross-functionally to ensure solution designs and requirements are aligned.Demonstrated ability to partner with business representatives at all levels to identify needs, define and document requirements, and drive solution.Demonstrated ability to guide the business towards optimal solution.Experience in identifying opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies.

  $165.000- $263.150salary plus bonus eligible + generally eligible for short-term and long-term financial incentives + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
