The role will build a Software Asset Management governance program spanning multiple teams across the organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThese essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.Software License ManagementMaintain an inventory of all software licenses and subscriptions across the organization.Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulations.Monitor software usage to identify potential compliance risks and optimization opportunities. Assist in budget planning for future software licensing needs and costs.Software ProcurementCollaborate with procurement teams to negotiate software license agreements and contracts. Evaluate software licensing options to determine the most cost-effective solutions.Manage the procurement process, including vendor selection, pricing negotiation, and contract review.Help to streamline all processes ensuring end users have access to the software they need.Vendor Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with software vendors and suppliers.Stay informed about vendor licensing changes, updates, and new products.Resolve any licensing or contract-related disputes with vendors in a timely and efficient manner.Cost OptimizationIdentify opportunities to reduce software costs through license consolidation, renegotiation, or elimination of unused licenses.Implement strategies to minimize over-licensing and non-compliance penalties.Documentation and ReportingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of software licenses, contracts, and related documents. Generate regular reports on software asset status, compliance, and cost savings for management and stakeholders.Provide greater transparency, compliance, and continual improvement across the organization while showing demonstrable value generation.Policy DevelopmentDevelop and enforce well-defined policies and processes for life cycle management and risk mitigation around software assets.Educate employees about software compliance and asset management best practices.Audit PreparationPrepare for software audits by conducting internal audits and ensuring all necessary documentation is readily available.Collaborate with auditors to provide required information and resolve audit findings.Perform other duties, as assigned.Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the position, consistent with the firm's attendance expectations.*This position may require travel.SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIREDProven experience in software asset management, license compliance, and procurement.Strong knowledge of software licensing models and regulations.Familiarity with software asset management tools and technologies.Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and in a team.SPECI
