$5,186.75 - $9,129.08 per month commensurate with experience.
Job Description Summary:
IT Product Manager II, under direction from the Director, Statewide Cybersecurity Services, provides management and direction for delivering shared cybersecurity services of the Texas A&M University System to system members and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Understands and represents customer needs. Acts as the voice of the customer inside the office of cybersecurity. Interacts with a broad range of stakeholders and teams to ensure a product’s success. Recommends opportunities to develop and improve customer cybersecurity posture through the effective use of technology.- Defines a product vision and aligns stakeholders around the vision. Works with key stakeholders to set a long-term vision and strategy for cybersecurity services and products. Communicates the strategy and achieves buy-in from all relevant team members and stakeholders.- Under direction, develops product strategy and product roadmaps for shared cybersecurity services. Optimizes products to achieve business cybersecurity goals while maximizing the system’s Return on Investment (ROI). Develops and manages activities from product definition and planning to production, release and eventual retirement. Reports regularly to management on the status of product delivery and adoption.- Defines and tracks success metrics to analyze product performance and identify areas for product improvement. Monitors and analyzes key product analytics to coordinate product improvements and boost ROI. Translates data gathered to build a case for decisions in the product roadmap, and consistently highlights evidence-based decision-making in all communication.- Prioritizes new features and product improvements. Prioritizes and simultaneously balances the needs of customers and stakeholders. Manages prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, business impact or ROI, performance, and post-launch support requirements.- Works cross-functionally to ensure and communicate the timely and quality release of products and/or enhancements. Effectively works with teams and processes across the office of cybersecurity toward the release of cybersecurity products, services and features. Develops a solid understanding of technology processes, the level of effort required, and the steps involved in a product launch to ensure work is delivered on time. Facilitates user testing and participates in QA testing to ensure the release of high-quality products and services. Drafts product communication to technical and non-technical audiences about new and updated products. - Stays abreast of developments in the cybersecurity field.- Participates in training and professional development sessions.- Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of work experience managing cybersecurity programs. Registration, Certifications, and Licenses:
Must be capable of passing a level II FBI background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of cyber defense and operations principles and practices.- Knowledge of information technology (IT) supply chain security and supply chain risk management policies, requirements, and procedures.- Knowledge of service management concepts for networks and related standards (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL]).- Knowledge of information technology (IT) acquisition/procurement requirements and life cycle process.- Skill in identifying gaps in technical capabilities and applying technical delivery capabilities. - Skill in utilizing feedback to improve processes, products, and services. - Ability to oversee the development and update of the life cycle cost estimate.- Ability to communicate complex information, concepts or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means. - Ability to prepare and present briefings and produce technical documentation. - Ability to function in a collaborative environment and think critically.
Some travel required.- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
