The Retail/Fresh Maintenance Release team is seeking an IT Delivery Manager to lead and manage a development and testing team that maintains and enhances software applications used by the fresh departments in our retail stores. Maintenance includes software application code, deployment packages, frameworks, interfaces and technology stacks for in-house developed solutions and customized vendor solutions.
Responsibilities include: Lead efforts to maintain and support complex systems and initiatives by planning, resourcing and budgeting projects, and driving requirements, design, development, testing and implementation while instructing, directing, auditing and maintaining responsibility for the development, analytical, and support work of others Perform short and long-term planning of development projects for the team including budgets, resource allocations and major milestones to meet evolving business area needs and technology requirements Manage the full software development lifecycle for the team's projects, utilizing multiple planning, development and database tools and technologies Provide oversight and direction for multiple projects and other tasks simultaneously, to drive work and consistently meet delivery timelines while ensuring quality solutions Provide regular and timely communication and escalation of key information to Technology and business area management Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering teams to ensure team and projects adhere to best practices Ensure all team members and the solutions they deliver adhere to security best practices and standards for various platforms and applications Foster and maintain good working relationships with business area representatives to remain in sync on needs and priorities Foster and maintain good working relationships with other Technology teams to synchronize plans and seek assistance Perform human resource management duties, including hiring, training, performance monitoring and improvement, career counseling, pay reviews, promotions, terminations and work prioritization for assigned associates Facilitate the creation and maintenance of a team environment Available on-call and after hours as required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent work experience Minimum of eight years of IT experience, including development, implementation, maintenance, and support of large-scale integrated solutions Minimum of five years leadership experience in which one or more of the following occurred: demonstrated leadership in IT project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors experience in analyzing project needs and determining resources needed to meet objectives Successfully developed and implemented or supported applications in new computing architecture environments, using new and emerging technologies Demonstrated ability to manage multidiscipline, high-performance work teams Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills Ability to make sound decisions and solve complex business and technical issues Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team member) Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of management and thrive in a cross-functional environment Experience with SCRUM or other Agile or Waterfall methodologies Basic knowledge of financial management and budgeting High degree of confidentiality, maturity, self-motivation, commitment, and integrity Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and commitment to Publix and our Mission
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years of IT experience, including development, maintenance, and support of large-scale integrated solutions Experience supporting large scale applications within a 24/7 environment Experience with human resource management, including knowledge of team dynamics, team building concepts, and human resource policies Experience with developing and supporting high volume, mission-critical applications with .NET, ASP.NET, C# and SQL Experience with modern Windows systems architecture including Azure, API driven integrations, and/or microservices Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI Experience with responsive web application design and development Strong technical understanding of IIS and other middleware components Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Kafka Experience and knowledge of problem management, change management, and other I/S processes Familiarity with SCRUM at Scale, LeSS or SAFe Ability to work concurrently on multiple assignments with similar deadlines Strong collaboration and customer service skills with a desire to work collaboratively with numerous Architecture, Application, Engineering, and Security teams Publix experience and strong collaboration and customer service experience with multiple business areas

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
