Role Summary:
As an IT Business Solutions Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions in Demantra, ASCP and Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) applications space. Responsibilities include defining, designing, developing, testing, documenting, and supporting Supply Chain and some finance functions. The role requires exercise of discretion and independent judgement in evaluation of user requests/requirements, determining and implementing optimum solutions and completing related documentation by applying system analysis techniques and procedures. The IT Business Solutions Analyst will work cross-functionally with Business Leaders, End Users, Super Users, and internal/external IT Teams. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with skills specific to Oracle Demantra, ASCP and EBS in identifying, measuring, and implementing control mechanisms for high visibility projects.
Responsibilities:
Establish, contribute to and adhere to all key departmental operating procedures around governance, project management, software lifecycle management, change management and application controls
Act as the Demantra/ASCP subject matter expert by providing guidance to both development and business teams
Design, develop, unit test and deploy new business functionality with the along side developers
Work with business users and IT colleagues to provide solutions to match business needs
Ensure functional documentation is created and maintained
Provide project implementation oversight, support, including testing of new features, and other system changes
Develop and implement seamless reporting capabilities per business needs
Gather and consolidate unrefined business requirements from multiple sources and converge them into meaningful functional specifications
Drive delivery of application features to successful completion by coordinating resources and timetables of resources and other stakeholders as needed
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user testing
Provide guidance on how solutions could help solve business problems, evolve existing business capabilities, and enable new business capabilities
Analyze user operational requirements to design end-to-end solutions, develop functional specifications and test cases
Provide support for both application and business process issues
Develop and execute system testing and test plans as required as well as coordinate and conduct internal user support and training
Act as a liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups
Improve process flow and user documentation for Demantra, ASCP and Oracle ERP and enhance user knowledge and competency
Design and manage the delivery of project specifications based on consultations with supervisors, developers, external contractors, and end users
Document, propose and optimize Oracle ERP applications configuration to provide best usability and information availability
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
2 - 5 years of functional or techno-functional experience in Demantra, ASCP and/or Oracle EBS applications with experience in analysis, development, testing or equivalent experience serving as a key business SME. Version 12x experience preferred
Demonstrated experience in using self-supporting in EBS technology components: SQL, PL/SQL, reports etc. using TOAD or SQL Developer
Demonstrated proficiency and willingness to serve as an internal subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle applications
Should understand Procure to Pay (P2P) path as well a good understanding of Order to Cash (O2C) flow. Understanding Oracle Supply Chain cycles/modules: OTC, P2P, BOM, WIP, ONT, PO, INV is a bonus
Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering requirements and other business analyst techniques
Experience training internal users on Demantra, ASCP or Oracle EBS new features, functionality, and integrations. As well as experience in generating process maps for front-end related business processes.
Deep exposure of information systems, business processes and measures of success
Experience in applications integration to other third-party applications preferred
Demonstrated ability in building relationships with people at a variety of levels
Demonstrated ability to articulate to stakeholders the value of recommended approaches and solutions
Excellent time and project management skills
Able to exercise discretion and independent judgment
Outstanding analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, manufacturing/operations or an IT related field or equivalent experience
