Seeking a Financial Business Intelligence Associate to work in the Investment & Corporate Banking COO Office of a growing firm. This position plays a key function in the COO team managing data framework and driving automation efforts working in close partnership with business, reporting team and IT stakeholders.
Summary Responsibilities:
Work closely with Product Control and Finance to own monthly reconciliation of client income against estimates by analyzing variances related to revenue, and compare and correct data to reconcile transactions and ensure proper client revenue reconciliationProvide analytical support to Executive Reporting. Develop financial models that are used to measure division's performance. Monitor revenue pipeline and project future revenues for the division.Research, collect and maintain client, transaction and product data for bench marking and performance ranking. Analyze historical trends, and present analysis to senior executivesHelp to drive and implement a strategic data framework and solution working with IT to define, identify, test and implement automated solutionsProduce ad hoc reports to fulfill management requests and support Mizuho's ongoing reporting needsLead aspects of data management; maintain and ensure the data integrity of client records included in our CRM (Salesforce) and Client Data warehouseDevelop and maintain data controls that ensure accuracy, consistency and detail of management reporting dataSupport Mizuho's commitment to making informed and data-driven decisions by serving as the in-house expert for data mining, data processing, manipulation, analysis and presentationResearch, recommend and execute tactical approaches for improving management's access to analytics, including self-service methods, in parallel with implementation of any strategic platformsDemonstrate intellectual curiosity and critical thinking by taking the initiative to explore Mizuho data independently and rigorously in order to expose underlying trends, performance drivers, and emerging issues
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in Accounting role or FP&A roleTop notch analytical and problem-solving skillsCustomer service orientation and passion for helping business stakeholders define metrics to assess and drive performanceAdvanced MS Word / Excel (including nested formulas, macros, pivot tables, look-ups and VBA), SQL, PowerPoint and AccessExcellent knowledge of investment and corporate banking and capital market productsExpertise in the design, creation, management and business application of performance metrics and dashboards, including visualization techniquesProven track record leveraging data and analytics to drive meaningful business impactKnowledge in Salesforce, Qlik, PowerBI, Dealogic, Capital IQ and SAS a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsMotivated self-starter and team player who can navigate ambiguity effectively and drive decisions and change through influence and persuasionAttention to detail, strong quantitative skills, and high commitment to data accuracyDemonstrate sense of urgency in meeting challenging deadlines and achieving goalsTolerance and understanding in multi cultures.

The expected base salary ranges from $100K - $125k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
