About Inventory Materials Associate I

  Reference #: 12674-en_USBASIC FUNCTION:

  Reporting to the Manager Supply and Ops Planning, the Inventory Materials Associate is responsible for raw material purchase releases and maintaining sufficient inventory for plant operations.

  ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

  Uncompromising attitude towards the safe work performance and environmental impact of the organization, its employees and those who visitPlace orders with raw material suppliers, confirm raw materials have shipped, and track materials in transitProvide timely, accurate feedback to Supply Manager and Schedulers concerning raw material procurement issuesReview raw inventory levels at terminal locations and take appropriate actions to maintain proper levelsPlan and schedule raw material movements with terminals, transportation vendors, and operating departmentsReview raw material invoices for accuracy and work with suppliers on delivery, quantity and price issuesWork with scheduling team members to determine production plans and raw material requirements to meet the sales forecastMaintain accurate pricing information for raw materialsPrepare and distribute delivery schedules of inbound raw materials.Obtain de-oiling data from our toller and coordinate with the tollers personnel to balance the transactionPerform and document monthly physical inventory, reconciling stock to reports provided by third partiesMaintain multiple spreadsheets documenting all purchases by category and updating in real time as orders are placed, fulfilled, closed and invoices are paidComplete yearly vendor evaluation reports

  Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  Prior experience working in an SAP environment.

  EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

  A High School Diploma or GED with 3-5 years working experience.

  REQUIRED SKILLS:

  Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills, time management and detail orientationAbility to become very familiar with plant raw materials and point of use in the plantMid-level to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software especially Word and ExcelDemonstrated ability to deal with vendors with tact and courtesy and maintain calm under stressful situations

  WORK CONDITIONS:

  Work is primarily performed in an office setting. May require regular movement throughout production areas indoors and outdoors. May require travel. Interacts with plant leadership and employees at all levels. Interacts periodically with customers, sales and marketing.

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping. Job conditions may require making visual inspections, lifting and/or carrying up to 25lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 25lbs, climbing up to 3ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, with valid state driver's license and proof of insurance, working in confined spaces, and perceiving color differences.
