Hitachi Energy is hiring a Inventory Control Supervisor at our Crystal Springs, MS location. The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, plan-ning, leading and supervising the production team of designated area. This position is focused on driving production area improvements with lean manufacturing techniques.
Your Responsibilities:
Supervising shipping and receiving staff: Managing and leading a team, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring productivity.Inventory management: Tracking and controlling inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and organizing storage to optimize space. Conduct daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems. Identify and resolve root causes of inventory losses.Shipping and receiving: Managing the shipment and receipt of goods, including inspecting products for quality and compliance with orders.Safety and compliance: Enforcing safety protocols, maintaining compliance with regulations, and addressing any safety concerns.Inventory documentation: Keeping records of inventory, shipments, and receipts, and using software or systems to track items.Problem-solving: Resolving operational issues, such as delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies in inventory.Quality control: Ensuring products meet quality standards and handling returns or damaged items appropriately.Communication: Collaborating with other departments and management to coordinate logistics and inventory needs.Reporting: Providing regular reports on inventory performance and suggesting improvementsSafety and integrity: Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your Background:
A bachelor's degree or high diploma in relevant field.Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership (Logistics/Shipping/Warehousing preferred)Strong communication and organizing skills.Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.Preferred Qualification:Experience in implementing lean material flow in a manufacturing environment.Adept at IT systems and Microsoft Office products - Excel, Power Point, Word, and VisioExperience with SAP or similar ERP system. Demonstrated experience promoting safety, new ideas, and positive change.
