The Inventory Control Clerk analyzes inventory levels, production run rates, cycle counts, bulk receiving, and product demand to determine order levels which will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with Inventory Analysts to establish communication with assigned suppliers to enable timely, accurate and forecasting analysis of supplier's ability to fulfill production needs.General Data entry, Scanning & record keeping (receiving documents- DOT files)Collaborate with Receiving Foreman and assigned warehouse staff on frequency and type of cycle count requested.Manage inventory levels, and accuracy at third party warehouse of all materials.Submit purchase requisitions for raw material and packaging meet production demands and established minimum maximum levels at plants and 3rd party logistics storage facilities.Order supplies in OnBase and maintain inventory for non-SAP items (stretch wrap, tape, slip sheets, pallet labels, etc.) as needed for production.Generate labels for specialized materials (International, test materials etc.)Maintain various inventory reports created by the Senior Inventory Analyst that show trends in ordering and inventory, that will allow us to make data-driven decisions. Work with our Quality team to identify materials that are pending Certificates of Analysis, and secure said documents from our vendors to ensure materials are released for use in a timely manner.Maintain weekly SLED (shelf life) reports to ensure that materials are consumed before expiration.Follow up with vendors to verify they received their purchase requisitions and verify delivery date. Comply with King's Hawaiian safety policies and positively promotes safety in all areas.Maintain a clear and organized plant production floor.Visit the floor daily to verify available space and order accordingly.Maintain the Incident tracking document for 3pls so the Senior Inventory Analyst can manage that relationship.At the direction of the Senior Inventory Analyst, generate and issue intercompany transfers and vendor orders.Assist Dept Manager with special projects.Back up for Inventory Analyst and SAP Admin clerk.Fill in whenever needed to help meet business needs in Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience in maintaining inventory.Experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred.Strong customer service skills.Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow 1-1 through to resolve any outstanding issues.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to adapt to changing environment.Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.Working knowledge of email, Internet Explorer, Excel, Word,Knowledge/experience with SAP preferred.Must be able to work flexible hours and days, including weekends as demand dictates.
Compensation range: $19.25- $27.25 per hour
