  Introduction

  Job Mission

  By joining the Supplier Operations department as an Procurement Intern, you will play a vital role in shaping our cost avoidance and savings strategies. You will have an unique opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders, gaining hands-on experience in procurement and data analysis, all while contributing directly to our company's financial growth and success.   This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

  Job Description

  Conduct market research and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and help buyers to make informed decisions and maximize cost savings, Conduct cost-benefit analysis for various procurement decisions, ensuring alignment with cost-saving goals, Monitor market fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, and other factors affecting procurement decisions while enhancing reporting and notifying buyers, Assist in monitoring cost savings achieved through procurement initiatives, providing regular updates to management, Assist in maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and prepare reports to track progress and performance against cost saving targets, Collaborate with buyers to identify process improvement opportunities within the procurement, streamlining operations and reducing costs Perform other duties as assigned.

  Education and Experience

  Must be pursuing a relevant degree related to Logistics, Supply Chain, Sourcing and / or Procurement.Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, data visualization and statistical analysis,Knowledge of various market research methodologies, including primary and secondary research, competitive analysis, and trend analysis.Familiarity with tools and platforms for gathering market data and insights, such as market research databases, industry reports, and online resources.Understanding of supply chain, procurement, sourcing and financial concepts,Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word for data analysis, reporting and presentation.

  This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

All candidates receiving an offer of employment must successfully complete a background check band any other tests that may be required.

  The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $17.00 - $53.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
