The role.
We are seeking an expert International Transportation Specialist to join our team to execute Imports & Exports autonomously. You are a topic authority in planning and implementing all transport-related activities in our projects group. Your role will be centered between material suppliers and our project team to implement Imports and Exports worldwide. Our project and commercial managers look to you to facilitate deliveries via Air and Ocean, including Triangular movements, throughout the world. Your international expertise will be used during proposal & planning stage thru to delivering clean documentation for invoicing. You develop LOG-plans & budgets with continuous focus on cost savings measures. You prepare compliant documentation and may assist with customer consultation. Bottom line, your career is centered in the international arena with strong practical experience. Be sure to mention any additional experience such as import classifications, letter of credits, oversize cargo or HAVE worked in the forwarding industry.
Responsibilities :
Plan and implement international transport related activities in projects autonomously (or with minimal direction), ensuring timely, efficient, and compliant delivery of our products worldwide.
Plan, organize transportation for Imports/Exports as well as offshore exports, coordinated with internal and external collaborators as per project schedule deadlines.
Render consultation during offer phase incl. budget, document and connect with all relevant parties (project team, customer, forwarders, suppliers)
Develop comprehensive logistics plans, considering factors such as budget, timelines, and project requirements including triangular exports.
Prepare and maintain documentation requirements, including shipping documents, customs paperwork, and compliance records.
Create and regularly update the Master Ship List (MSL), ensuring accurate tracking of shipments and inventory.
Review ERP system (SAP) to confirm contractual terms, monitor actual delivery path and initiate discrepancy resolutions to plan.
Obtain freight and packing quotes from various vendors, comparing prices and services to ensure cost effectiveness.
Responsible to request commercial invoicing for delivered products with clean shipment records.
Run storage requirements for project materials, coordinating with warehouse personnel to optimize space utilization.
Assist in expediting project timelines by proactively addressing logistics challenges and resolving issues promptly.
Knowledgeable in customs classification for exports, deeper Import classification knowledge useful.
Your profile.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in transportation
Validated experience in project logistics and transport operations, preferably in a project-based environment. (Air+Ocean)
In depth knowledge of shipping and transportation processes, including customs regulations and documentation requirements.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize optimally.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, trusted collaborator for internal and external partners.
Understanding of Schedule B and export compliance regulations
Ability to work autonomously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position is $63,700 - $109,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
