Description Position Summary: Supervise and develop staff to ensure new business and support related processes are properly implemented. Participate in project meetings and build applicable processes/procedures for direct reports. Work closely with ARB leadership to build and manage the Internal Wholesaling & Support Team. Essential Responsibilities: Job Function 1: Leadership and Training Development - 60% Define Internal Wholesaler role and responsibilities in order to support Retirement Sales Consultants responsible for external sales by providing prospect related documents, illustrations & proposals for new business opportunities to Retirement Sales Consultants and the wholesale networks (Wholesalers, Advisors, Brokers, and TPAs) they serve. Establish and measure behaviors and activities that support sales growth. Oversee individual and team workloads. Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Expect accountability and regular feedback. Demonstrate leadership characteristics, and set an example for team members. Participate in project meetings, create new processes and procedures, and train accordingly. Interview, hire, and coordinate training of new staff of Internal Wholesalers and Sales Support. Ensure availability to team members. Provide oversight and direction for day-to-day questions, issues, and concerns on a timely basis. Communicate performance expectations and monitor performance plans. Understand and manage team scheduling needs. Job Function 2: Client Service - 35% Manage client and channel partner relationships, i.e. TPA, aggregators, advisors, DCIO, etc. by working to resolve complex service issues to ensure client & partner satisfaction/retention. Work closely with ARB Director of Sales and Advisor Services to ensure seamless service standard for distribution partners and key national accounts. Provide accurate and timely responses to employees, clients, advisors, brokers, TPAs, wholesalers, and sales team. Develop and maintain positive working relationships and open lines of communication with internal and external clients. Problem solve a variety of complex situations involving business and/or client needs. Job Function 3: Teamwork and Productivity - 5% Provide backup to manager and team members for client telephone calls, emails, and other requests. Foster a positive work environment and support co-workers in achievement of departmental goals. Treat all co-workers professionally and respectfully. Participate in company and departmental meetings. Establish work objectives and priorities to perform work in a cost-effective manner. Make recommendations for ways to increase productivity and decrease staff overtime. Proactively suggest changes in procedures, forms, and checklists to reduce account errors. Properly double check work of self and team members to minimize rework. Work independently and take responsibility to seek further review by team lead, if necessary. Qualifications: 5 or more years of experience in the defined contribution business field focused on internal and/or external sales or support. Strong understanding of the defined contribution marketplace including the support of national distribution efforts through broker dealers, TPAs, aggregators, and Advisors. Proven track record of external/internal sales success. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce, and relevant sales support software. Strong written/oral communication and organization skills. High level commitment to accuracy and detail; strong analytical skills. Strong commitment to customer service. Proven ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment. Ability to prioritize, exhibits self-motivation, and independently manages multiple concurrent tasks and eets deadlines. Physical Demands - Must be met with or without a reasonable accommodation: Requires ability to sit for long periods of time using a key board, mouse and to view multiple screens. Ability to operate a personal computer/laptop for approximately 8 hours per day. Extended time is spent reviewing documents, both actual papers or electronic. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Periodically, may also do light lifting of supplies and materials which weighs in at approximately 20 lbs. Will spend most of time in an indoor environment.
