As an Internal Communications Specialist on a 12-month full-time contract, you will perform communications duties and support the Communications Manager at Protein Diagnostics with a range of colleague-facing activity. Responsibilities include developing and delivering engaging content for video, email, newsletters and digital signage. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to significantly impact colleague satisfaction and engagement.
What will you do (a day in the life)?
Craft, proofread and distribute internal communications such as event invitations and organisational updates.Help develop and deliver internal campaign activity around new initiatives, product launches and key organisational activities.Collaborate and engage with colleagues to source content for e-newsletters, video and other publications.Film, edit and produce employee videos.Design and display updates and calls-to-action on internal digital signage.Ensure internal communications align with brand requirements.Update internal communications platforms to deliver a positive colleague user experience.
Keys to success (knowledge, skills and abilities):
Ability to work independently, take initiative and problem-solve with some guidance from the Communications Manager.Ability to work flexibly on several tasks simultaneously and to meet various concurrent deadlines and accomplish Department goals.Strong organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.A high degree of creativity.Ability to quickly learn about new platforms and tools to deliver communications.Work with cross-functional teams and communicate optimally at all levels of the organization as well as outside contacts.
Education
Degree (or equivalent experience) in communications or marketing.
Experience
Demonstrated experience of the keys to success outlined above.Use of mailer platforms such as Poppulo, Mailchimp or Hubspot.If possible, experience working in organisations undergoing integrations or significant change.
