About the team/role
We are seeking a proactive and innovative Internal Communications Manager to help build a world-class internal communication function that informs, inspires, and connects our hybrid workforce. You will bring hands-on experience and a collaborative mindset in overhauling, developing, and managing effective internal communication strategies, processes, and tools to ensure we share information effectively. You will also design methods to amplify meaningful stories of human impact and drive authentic engagement that helps fuel our high-performance culture. This role reports to the Senior Director of Internal Communications in the Office of the CEO.
What you’ll do
Develop and execute effective internal communication strategies that advance company objectives and model our values of grit, transparency, humility, transparency, and connection. Forge relationships across the company and be an informed voice for employee feedback and sentiment. Build and manage new internal communication processes to improve information flow and collaboration among various departments. Regularly assess existing communication tools, propose improvements, or introduce new technology as needed. Create and edit high-quality internal messaging, including emails, newsletters, presentations, and other internal communications. Support and coordinate organization-wide communications. Develop metrics and track data to evaluate the success of internal communication strategies and generate regular reports for senior management. Organize and promote company engagement initiatives. Guide other team members regarding communication best practices. What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field. Minimum of 5 years in an internal communications role, preferably in a start-up environment that provided many opportunities to innovate and grow. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong storytelling skills and direct experience with preparing speakers for Town Hall-style presentations. Demonstrated experience building and improving communication processes and tools. Proficiency in digital technology, including newsletter tools, intranet systems, and social media platforms. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to create strategic communications plans that align with company goals. Strong leadership and project management skills. Nice to have: Proficiency with Spanish language. What you’ll get

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The base salary range for this role is $143,650 to $194,350 in San Francisco.
