Overview
To gain valuable insight into Navy Federal's business, technology, resources and procedures by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education. Participate in a collaborative, team driven network and interact with multiple departments. Receive guidance and direction from team and management. Utilize and further develop technical and soft skills, business knowledge, analytical techniques and creative problem solving abilities. Provide professional execution of day to day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies and procedures. This is a year-round, Full or Part -Time, flexible internship based on school schedule.
Responsibilities
• Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
• Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
• Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
• Provide support in functional areas of the credit union
• May provide direct member service in high volume situations
• Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
• Create new and maintain existing Active Directory Groups for Branch Operations utilizing internal ticket system (MyIT) and Microsoft Excel
• Support maintenance of Branch Operations Projects & Analysis SQL data warehouse, including:
Daily ETL Errors – troubleshooting why, removing bad loads, re-starting ETL, and documenting resolution (SSMS and Visual Studios)
Data Dictionary – supporting the ongoing maintenance of Branch Operations Department Data Dictionary (define base measures, KPI definitions, and OKR definitions) (SSMS)
Documenting changes to structure of fact/dim tables and entity diagram (Visio)
Approving new access to the warehouse (add new employees to an Active Directory Group) (MyIT, Excel, SSMS)
• Support maintenance of shared datasets in the cloud using Power BI and/or Tableau, along with access (Power BI, Tableau, Azure Data Studio/Analytical Semantic Layer)
• Manage Audit responsibilities for branch and ATM locator using Apple Maps
• Verify BET tables are accurate and up-to-date and ensure the platform is running smoothly, including:
Facilitating regular audits of the data tables
Supporting Operational Risk in their regular system access audits
Ensuring that Branch Operations Department leaders are monitoring system access throughout the year
Communicating with data stewards and data managers on a regular basis to ensure tables are current, including future branches and ATMs
Monitoring intake form for data corrections that are requested and facilitate changes with appropriate teams
Working with Projects & Innovations team as needed for enhancement projects
Communicating relevant updates with applicable teams using the data in BET
Assisting new data users in setup to use BET data
• Support Access Management for EBX (replacement of EBX)
• Assist with records management
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
• Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
• Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
• Ability to adapt to new technologies

• Experience with the following tools desired:
Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerBI, SSMS/SQL, Visual Studios
Tableau, Azure Data Studio/ Analytical Semantic Layer (ASL)
