Position Overview
Our team of security experts helps Autodesk design build and maintain secure products. We are embedding security in the full spectrum of how we build our products from inception, design and development, testing to how we are running them in the cloud and how we are responding to any existing or latest threats to our products or the building blocks of our products and services. Our job is to be one step ahead of the bad guys and use expertise, technology and other resources to thwart their efforts to compromise our products and the environment in which they operate. Our team keeps a single-minded focus on protecting our customer's data and their investment in our products by strengthening our applications, underlying services and network.
As a Security Engineer Intern on the Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) organization, you'll drive projects, solve unique challenges, while diving deep into our Security processes. You'll get placed into one of our multiple security teams that directly impact on the top-line security posture and the revenue for our company.
Responsibilities
Managing your project end-to-end, including developing, testing, releasing, and monitoring security solutionsPartnering across many security teams including infrastructure, engineering, operations, incident response, and offensive security to develop scalable solutionsUnderstanding the AWS security landscape & deploy controls to prevent, detect and respond to security threats
Minimum Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelors or Masters degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2025Strong development skills in Python or equivalent language
Preferred Qualifications
Prior software engineering experience from internships, hackathons, or other related projectsPrior experience in Terraform and GraphQL is a plusKnowledge of CI/CD toolsExperience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, ECS, EC2, S3, DynamoDBStrong knowledge of OSI layers and network protocols, technologies like firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS., etc.Knowledge of Threat detection and SIEM solutions and log management/ collection platform like Splunk Cloud, Enterprise Security, Datadog
About the US Intern Program
The 2024 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 20 - August 9 or June 17 - September 6). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk's Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary Transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate's experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.
For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:
$47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)$72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)$118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
