Zions Bancorporation is one of the nation’s premier financial services companies, consisting of a collection of great banks with combined total assets exceeding $65 billion. Zions’ subsidiary ZB, N.A. operates banking divisions under local management teams and community identities in 11 states.
We are currently seeking an intern for the Portfolio Management Team within the Wealth Management Department. This position reports to the Director of Investment Research and up through the Director of Investment Management.
Responsibilities:
· Assist portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders with a variety of tasks in support of client investment portfolio management.
· Assist portfolio managers to ensure client portfolios are aligned with investment models.
· Conduct investment and market research.
· Generate charts and other graphics for presentation.
· Participate in client retention activities including helping to prepare presentations and investment related information for clients.
· Coordinate with other team members to conduct due diligence and portfolio analysis.
· Help provide operational support where needed (e.g., trading, client requests)
· Provide data on mutual funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).
· Work effectively as part of a team in an investment advice driven business model.
· Responsible for completing investment projects as assigned, evaluating market trends, and analyzing securities.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or other related field.
Progress towards a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation a plus.
Familiarity with investments (stocks, bonds) and investment vehicles (mutual funds, ETFS, individual securities).
Basic knowledge of financial markets and trading of securities.
Must be organized and detail oriented.
This internship is not eligible for relocation assistance. Local candidates preferred.
