This position requires the instructor to teach face-to-faceclasses on the Colleges Standish, Maine campus with a 4/4 course load.
This Fine Arts position seeks to integrate traditional arts media withtechnology, and/or embrace an interdisciplinary approach to the arts. Asan instructor serving the Core Curriculum, we welcome candidates who canteach undergraduate fine arts courses in such areas as: Socially EngagedArt, Art & Creativity, Digital Photography, Graphic Design, Drawing,Painting and Ceramics. There is a strong desire for the instructor tohelp students critically examine and develop creative digital skillsthat are part of the emerging creative economy. The instructor would beencouraged to design learning experiences that connect arts andtechnology with health, well-being and lifelong learning.Interdisciplinary collaborations with faculty colleagues that seek toenhance a students employability include new approaches to teachingcreativity, critical thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Theinstructor will have access to the Art Studio and the Mac Lab to helpstudents develop skills, work through the iterative design process anddisplay various projects.

Minimum Requirements
Masters of Fine Arts degree is required or
Evidence of successful teaching of undergraduate learners
A background that demonstrates a commitment to justice, diversity,equity and inclusion
Evidence of community-based activities that help promote the arts
Evidence of interdisciplinary collaborations
Strong organizational skills.
Strong written communication skills, including providing constructivefeedback on student writing.
Understanding or ability to learn Brightspace, our learning managementsystem.
