This position may be eligible for relocation.Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire a Receiving Inspection Technician III at our facility located in Jamestown North Dakota.The Receiving Inspection Technician III conducts incoming inspections of products (parts, assemblies, raw materials, etc.) to validate compliance to design data requirements which include drawings, specifications, and contract requirements using basic inspection methods and tools.Primary Responsibilities:
Inspects a variety of product(s) using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.Reads, interprets and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation.Performs receiving inspection of manufactured products from the supply chainOperates computer systems to perform inspection tasks (e.g. Via Search, JD Edwards, One World, Engineering Information System, labor charging).Verifies all product documentation for accuracy and completeness.Administers visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.Responsible for First Article Inspections and completes related documentation.Performs administrative tasks associated with file management.Conducts Product Audits when requiredBasic Qualifications:
HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is requiredMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.Must be able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and/or specificationsAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishPreferred Qualifications:
Prior Aerospace industry or similar regulated industry experience (e.g. Medical)Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirementsExperience with SAPComputer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under stress.Ability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.Able to lift up to 35 pounds, employees will utilize a lift assist or buddy system if greater than 35 pounds.Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
