Description: Schedules and leads installations, modifications, as well as common maintenance of training systems within boundaries of released modification kits and guidelines established by the Trusted Facility Manual. Supports and/or coordinates verification and validation of installations and modifications to systems. Acquires and submits metrics for review, documents system anomalies and submits relative data to appropriate organizations for analysis and resolution. Collaborates with other organizations to improve operational performance and configure systems to operate within approved guidelines. Provides assistance to database administrators as needed to manage the import, export, transmittal and receipt of training records. Interfaces directly with customer and contractor personnel at the site to resolve “break/fix” issues, establish approved access to resources, and assure system services are available to support daily Academic operations. Assure compliance with all approved procedures and guidelines, and support respective audits.
Basic Qualifications:
3-5 years’ experience in Information Technology operations.
Possess a current final Secret security clearance (with a re-investigation with the last 5 years).
Possess a current Security + CE certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain a F-35 Program Special Access.
Must have demonstrated experience in the following: Virtualization, VMWare/Vsphere, Windows Server 2012, Windows 10 Operating systems, event log management, basic networking, Active Directory administration, personal computer applications, data security administration, SAN hardware, thin client administration.
Strong oral/written communication skills. Work in a team environment.
Willingness to travel (generally<25%).
Must be capable of working multiple shifts including some weekends to execute critical maintenance and troubleshooting.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience in aviation simulation and training. (level 2, 1-3 years)
Experience working in a classified/access-controlled facility.
Familiarity with F-35 Training systems architecture, implementation and operations (TMS/LMS).
Microsoft certified system administrator.
Experience in Horizon View/7/8, HBBS (including McAfee, DLP, HIPS, VSE and ePO), Backup Exec., Database administration, firewall experience.
Ability to lead and mentor other team members (level 3 and above).
