  CDM Smith is seek an Information Security Specialist to join our corporate Business Technology team. Under general supervision, performs basic to moderately complex procedures necessary to ensure the safety of facilities and information systems and protect physical locations, systems, and data from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

  **US Citizenship is required for this role.

  •\tPerforms basic to moderately complex procedures such as logical and physical access management, deployment of anti-virus and encryption software, risk and vulnerability assessments, security auditing and monitoring, incident response.

  •\tConfiguration and Management of firewalls and VPN.

  •\tInterfaces with user community to understand their security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them. Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security. Develops Information Technology (IT) security.

  •\tUnder general supervision, provides evaluation and support of the level of security required for systems, infrastructure, and other information technology assets. Recommends security procedures for IT assets based on analysis.

  •\tEnforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security tools. Reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls.

  •\tProvides management with tracking and status reports, analysis, and metrics on security actions, events, trends, and concerns.

  •\tPerforms other duties as required.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  •\tHigh School diploma or equivalent.

  •\t3 years of related experience.

  •\tEquivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  •\tExperience highly preferred in the following:

  o\tSIEM

  o\tSophos

  o\tVulnerability management software

  o\tAzure security

  Skills and Abilities:

  •\tSolid experience with firewalls (configuration, management) preferably with Palo Alto.

  •\tSolid understanding of IT security standards and procedures.

  •\tSolid knowledge of IT industry trends and emerging technologies with the ability to relate them to the firm and its objectives.

  •\tGood verbal and written communication skills.

  •\tGood attention to detail.

  Background Check and Drug Testing Information:

  CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. In addition, CDM Smith may conduct drug testing for designated positions. Background checks are conducted after an offer of employment has been made in the United States. If this position is subject to a background check for any convictions related to its responsibilities and requirements, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history. Criminal history will not automatically disqualify a candidate. In addition, during employment individuals may be required by CDM Smith or a CDM Smith client to successfully complete additional background checks, including motor vehicle record as well as drug testing.

  Additional Compensation:

  All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

  Work Location Options:

  Fully Remote or Hybrid Work Options may be considered for successful candidate.
