Information Security / Cybersecurity Summer Analyst Internship

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
During our 10-week summer internship program, beginning in June 2024, you will gain technical and problem-solving skills which will enable you to build your career with Santander through on the job practical training, business overview lunch & learns, professional development training and networking.
This 2024 Summer Internship is for undergraduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and May 2025.
The Corporate & Investment Bank Information Security summer intern will be responsible for supporting the execution of projects assigned by his/ her manager while learning how the different Information Security processes and technologies work and how technology is managed at Santander. He/she will be focused on creating and maintaining relevant documentation related to the project he/she is engaged in and will ensure activities are tracked correctly. He/she will be working with his/her direct managers and other team members from different teams, both local Information Security, global Information Security and business counterparts. He/She will be learning Information Security concepts, project management among other things.

At the end of this program, you will be able to:
Describe the responsibilities to protect and safeguard company and customer data.Identify cyber threats and security risks, and how they impact Santander.Discuss the security guiding principles that protect assets utilized in day-to-day tasks.

How to Protect Information assets from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, destruction, modification and disruption.Understand the CIA Triad. The Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of data, or the CIA Triad, is the basis of Information Security.Overview of Threats - Social Engineering, Data Theft/Data Leakage, Insider Threat, MalwareReport Cyber ThreatsImpacts of Threats - Financial, Regulatory, Reputational, Customer.Cyber Risk AssessmentTechnology Risk AssessmentData and Information ProtectionSecurity Logging and MonitoringCyber Incident ResponseProject Management.

Working Conditions:

Requirements:

Job Applicants: The base hourly pay range for this position is $30/hr.- $30/hr. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
