Job Summary
This role is ideal for a subject matter expert in the compliant and responsible use of data in the delivery of pharmacovigilance. You will be a key team member on IQVIA’s Research and Development Services (R&DS) Information Governance and Privacy team. The Information and Governance team is responsible for partnering with R&DS businesses for implementing and guiding a programmatic approach to information governance activities sourced from various disciplines and activities, including data privacy, information security, contracts, intellectual property, company policies and procedures, AI compliance requirements, commercial requirements, among other sources. This role will partner with businesses to continue the delivery of solution-oriented programs governing compliant data use.
Essential Functions
You will partner with employees on a cross-functional basis in areas such as development, offerings management, data management, supplier services, production, delivery, client services, CIO / IT and other functions.
Help employees understand their information governance responsibilities.
Provide guidance on information governance requirements.
Promote adoption of SOPs, work instructions, training, guidance, communications, KPIs and annual objectives to support good information governance practices and programmatic solutions.
Share knowledge, tools, training and methods developed anywhere at IQVIA to promote efficiencies, find solutions faster, support continuous improvement and facilitate the adoption of better practices.
Encourage innovation in the methods the business adopts to comply with information governance requirements that is practical, forward looking (i.e, anticipates likely changes in future information governance requirements) and meets compliance requirements
Promote the use of risk assessments for projects and initiatives.
Ensure practices are adequately documented and documentation is accessible to meet legal, contractual and commercial requirements to demonstrate compliance.
Participate in corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) for information governance incidents, as needed.
Establish metrics and assessments to identify and resolve gaps and to measure and report updates regarding status of the information governance program.
Partner with fellow subject matter experts in areas such as data privacy, information security, intellectual property, legal and others to obtain and understand information governance requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years’ experience in the subject matter are minimum qualification. Advanced degree and relevant certifications preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration
Demonstrated experience managing large projects or programs across geographies and functions.
Strong technical aptitude with experience developing programmatic solutions for business.
Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and guide teams to deliver outcomes.
Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Understand the role of the various CRO and pharmacovigilence functions and how data typically moves through these businesses.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience with data privacy, information governance, information security.
Proficiency in information governance principles, data classification, and related practices.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
